About Gachiakuta Manga

Gachiakuta is a Japanese dark fantasy manga created by Kei Urana, with graffiti design collaboration by Hideyoshi Andou. The series began serialization in Weekly Shonen Magazine in February 2022 and is published by Kodansha.

The story follows Rudo, a boy born in the slums of a highly divided society where the wealthy live in luxury while the poor survive among discarded waste. After being falsely accused of murder, Rudo is cast into a massive abyss known as the Pit, a dangerous world filled with monstrous creatures and living trash.

In this harsh environment, Rudo must fight for survival while uncovering hidden truths about the world above. As he grows stronger, he begins to develop powers connected to objects known as Vital Instruments, becoming part of a group known as Givers.

As the story unfolds, Gachiakuta explores themes of revenge, survival, inequality, and justice, combining intense action with a unique graffiti-inspired art style. The manga has gained strong popularity and further expanded its reach with its anime adaptation.
